Leicester Literature, June 2007

The June issue of Leicester Literature — the email bulletin compiled and administered by the Leicester Library Service‘s literature development office — is now out.

This month’s issue is divided into three sections, namely: news, events and opportunities and it highlights, among other things, the release, in June next year, of Me and Mickie James (Jonathan Cape Publishers), a new novel by Leicestershire author, Drew Gummerson.

Also highlighted are a number of literary events and competitions that are taking place in and around Leicester. These include the Leicester Book of the Year award ceremony as well as spoken word events, poetry slam sessions and workshops.

To subscribe to the bulletin, send a blank e-mail marked SUBSCRIBE LIT to Literature Development Officer, Damien Walter, at: damien.walter@leicester.gov.uk. And, for more information on various aspects of literature in Leicester, visit Leicester Literature.< Editor’s Note.
