Kully Thiarai appointed as Director of Theatre Writing Partnership

Theatre Writing Partnership (TWP) is delighted to announce the appointment of Kully Thiarai as their new Director. Kully will join TWP in September.

Until recently, Kully was Joint Artistic Director of Leicester Haymarket where her directing credits included Bollywood Jane by Amanda Whittington; Roald Dahl’s The Witches; West Side Story; Plague of Innocence by Noel Grieg and Unsuitable Girls by Dolly Dhingra.

Kully has previously worked as a freelance theatre director and arts consultant.

Kully Thiarai said: “It is a very exciting time for Theatre Writing Partnership as it continues to grow as an independent organisation. I am delighted by the opportunity afforded me to work with the Board and team to build on the excellent work that has been done so far and find new ways in which the company might grow, strengthen and celebrate the work of writers and artists in the region and beyond.”

Alongside her role as Director of TWP, Kully will also continue to pursue her own creative projects.
