Taiwan-England International Fellowships programme 2007

Visiting Arts is pleased to announce the third year of the Taiwan-England International Fellowships programme 2007 which continues to provide cultural exchange opportunities for artists.

The programme is a joint initiative between the Council for Cultural Affairs Taiwan, Arts Council England, British Council Taiwan and Visiting Arts. This programme creates an exchange between artists from Taiwan and England who are engaged in contemporary arts practice and encourages sustainable cultural links between the two countries.

The fellowship is open to interdisciplinary artists living and working in England in the fields of dance, choreography, digital arts, literature, music, photography, or visual arts. It will provide an opportunity for a contemporary artist to be based at Taipei Artist Village and local university graduate departments in Taiwan for up to three months between September and December 2007 undertaking research and developing their artistic practice through the investigation of either arts and environment or arts and urban planning or the built environment. The residency will enable the artist to interact with local artists, extend professional contacts and develop skills and knowledge as well as a deeper understanding of Taiwanese culture.

Deadline for application: June 25, 2007.

For further information please see the attached announcement. Visiting Arts would be grateful if you could distribute this information to potential applicant artists. This programme is part of Arts Council England’s International Fellowship Programme.
