[Poem] Eyeliner Baby

Eyeliner baby,
Floating in the distance,
Shy away again
From the forefront.
As your steps forward
Falter with the ones
That are trailing to the side.
Laugh and waver behind
Peeling cigarettes.
As you cry and stumble,
From unspoken words
And feelings bulging in your throat.
So speak now, don’t just breathe
Too many times fallen,
broken baby.
